The Morning Glories

I love travelling around. Especially when it's somewhere near the greeneries. The freshness of the air, the cooling weather and the freedom to move around. It's so fun!

The flowers are also very beautiful! Let's enjoy some beauty that I had taken up during my journey in the south.

It was early in the morning, when the fog were just starting to settle. The morning dew decorates the flower shinningly~

My dad taught me that when taking flower photos, there should be three sticked together in the picture. This way it form the shape of a triangle. I don't really know what's the term called, but I guess it's one of a good photo composition. ^.^

Soft white in the middle of greens. This reminds me of a recent campaign held, "I'm a stand out in life!" campaign held by tiger and nuffnang. ^.^ Come to think of it, I'm actually quite stand out in life. Actually, standing outside of community I belong do. People always think that I'm weird, eccentric and not blending in. But in any circumstances, it doesn't matter as long as I'm aware who I am. ^.^ It's not like they hate me or what...

Zooming in on the flower. Everywhere was wet. It's not like those marshy kind of wet, but it just wet. Maybe because of the morning dew or probably it rained the previous night which I can't remember because I was sleeping like a log. :P

I like gazing flowers. I really enjoy strolling in a flower garden. I remember last time when my dad was taking wedding photos of his colleague in a flower garden right in front of the Malacca's palace in Bandar Hilir. I'm not sure weather it's still there or not, but the area had been sealed up and became a tourist attraction.

I wished the government make more such places. More gardens, more parks. So that people can relax and enjoy; living a healthier lifestyle. Well, I think I have said enough. Time to gaze more flowers. ^.^

After writing so much, I suddenly remembered that I've seen similar photos of flowers from Frankie's blog. Here's the link to there. Nope I did not copied his. He's in the far east Kuching while I'm still in the the southern part of peninsular Malaysia. And I definately din't know he took those picture. Probably mine were even taken earlier than his! :P

I'm not too sure what's this flower. I noticed it along the way to a recreasional park. It's very unique and only found along this place. It grows on a tree in bunches like bunches of Rambutans!

Yeap! We thought it was blooming season at that time. It's still early of the year and rambutans are blooming already?! What more it's yellow!

The trees were all filled up and we were suggesting, since it's nobody's tree, why don't we just stop and pluck some to fill our stomach! ^.^;;

Yeah, here's your yellow rambutan freshly served. You wan some more? It's sweet and juicy you know.

Here's some spider lily. Remember the spider i took in my back to nature adventure? Well, aparantly it had fed enough and wrap itself in a cocoon for a few months. Yes months.

After the few months of hibernation, when spring comes, it turn into a magnificent flower! Just like butterflies. Only that butterflies would suck the honey from flowers but this spider lilies provides juicy honey to feed to insects. It's give back to the communities. ^.^

Here's a bunch of spiders to end the post. More flowers to come if I land on a garden or so~ Maybe I should pay Penang Botanical Garden a visit. Yeah, I will PAY it when my finance is right. >.<" ...

More Coffee Please

Once the sucess of Old Town Franchise, there were many high class coffee shops had popped out everywhere across the country. There's this Old Taste, Kluang Station, Uncle John and many more! Coffee had became a fad. It's a trend now and it's a lifestyle.

Was strolling around in a near empty Batu Pahat Mall. There wasn't much to offer. Seems like the economy is really bad in this area and there were many empty slots up for rent. We came to a cafe which the name was quite foreign to us.

The Dagan Rengit Coffee house. I'm not very sure weather the Dagan is the brand name and Rengit Coffee is the company name or vice versa. Never really asked in detail. The waiter who serves us also can't tell us much.

According to the waiter, it is an indonesian brand. The coffee beans are basically imported from Indonesia, brewed here and serves here. ^.^" The difference between the coffee there and the coffee there? Nobody can tells. I guess coffee just taste the same way like coffee always do! ^.^

We sat outside the interior part to watch the flowing traffic outsides. (Actually is because my cousin wanna smoke). Things were slow in BP. The day were cloudy. Nothing special in there.

It seems like the coffee house doesn't have much customer either. You can see all the tables and chairs neatly arranged, untouched. Come to think about it, the settings are actually not bad. Chairs are made from those rattans, coloured with dark brown green. The tables are also in dark green made of solid wood.

Serving time was okay. Not too fast nor slow either. Their packaging were similar to those Starbucks, Coffee Bean type kind of serving. All prepacked in a plastic cup nicely with a cap on.

The taste? White coffee taste lor! It's not black coffee so obviously it taste milky coffee. ^.^ I still prefer Nesspresso and Cappucino!

Kopi-O Adventure

Previously I blogged about my visit to my cousin's place. Continuing on the journey...It was too boring staying in the palm oil estate. So we decided to tunnel out and find for what the local is famous for.

First up was this coffee house. Our eldest uncle had called up my cousin a few time to order some coffee power! So we end up in this coffee factory which was regard as SUPERBLY GOOD by my uncle.

Kluang Kopi-O Cap TV! Yeah who would ever thought of a TV brand right? ^.^" Nevertheless, it's actually quite popular not only within the locals, but we also saw Singaporeans and Taiwanese dropped by to buy!

When we went in to the shop, the manager there mistaken us as some reporters because I brought my LX3 inside. They gave us a CD inside with all the photos and history and some promotional materials for write up. I think they had pre-arrangement with some magazine or newspaper for a write up. We returned them after clarify that we are just their customers. ^.^ Hey couz! We should go into the factory and take a tour right? It would be cool to do so! Kekeke...

They prepared their coffee mostly in instant packaging. I guess people now is either too lazy to make their own drink or have less time for it. But I would say, you can only differentiate its quality and taste if only they do it for you isn't it? ;)

Still, if you prefer the traditional way of brewing your own coffee. You can opt for the coffee power! ^.^ Noticed that all its packaging written Kopi-O? Yup. They are famous for its coffee without milk or creamer. Otherwise it wouldn't taste like its famous Kopi-O isn't it? ^.^

I noticed that alot of small towns in the southern region are famous for their coffee powder. People would purposely travel/ordered their coffee from these township. But you don't usually hear or order such brands of coffee in big cities. I think city guys prefer Starbucks, Coffee Beans, Arabian Coffee (McD), etcs which are so westernized and expensive! ^.^

Yeap! That's the big logo sign there! TV Brand. I guess the founder likes to watch television or he got inspired when he noticed people who watch TVs at that time likes to drink coffee or who drinks coffee likes to watch TV. Have you seen any coffee brand that's LCD or PC? ^.^"

P/S: Dear colleagues. I've placed 1 bag of kopi-o in the cabinet intended to share with you guys. Please don't be shy to take it if you want to try. No harm changing taste from the usual nescafe? ^.^

Random Garden Shots

Snapped these photos during my modeling session with Wish. If you wanna see my portrait photos you can go over to her blog for more.

I've actually been here trice for photography session. Everytime with different models. And I still like this setting. My model would sit here and I will be taking from different angle. I've actually got praised for "making her legs long" in one of my session. ^.^;;

It was a sunny day. The weather was very hot. Too bad the trees were shady enough and we always had to run here and there for cover.

Though, looking up the tree you can't see the bright sun. But the sky is all white. This kind of tree don't give much shade do they?

One of my best photo. Glowing white.... name that flower. ^.^;;

Do you think this is a ditch or a small river? Nice clear reflection don't they...?

Trees along the walking pavement beside the lake. As you can see the area was cleanly swept. Kudos for those who maintain this area.

This scene gives you a reminiscence of your childhood time... Ah! I feel like wanna go play!

Orange Day Video

You only know Valentine's Day but you seldom heard of White Day. Then you sure won't know what's an orange day. ^.^

I did cover previously about those few celebrations. About girls giving chocolates during Valentines. Guys returned the favour during White Days. And then today, on the 14th of April, both guys and girls confirm their love by exchanging oranges or orange-coloured gifts. Another reason to spend more moneys! If not... watch the video! *grin*

Happy Orange Days.

Life is all about BADminton

Lately, it's been easily tired out after work. I think that my body has become weaker and weaker. During my schooling days, I've been very active in sports and games. In Uni, I even took up martial arts. I remember I and another friend of mine Jeremy, was a martial art freak. But that was the past.

Lucky, every saturday I still have sport session. It started one day when my 2ndary school friend asked me out to join them since they don't have enough people. From then on, we've been playing badminton every weekends. ^.^

And then one fine day, I noticed, why the heck everybody is beating me. Why can't I control my shutter well? Lookings at their gears, I saw my solution... I'm losing is because I'm using old and outdated rackets which weighs around a few kilos!! (exaggeration intended. It's actually because my friends all joined badminton clubs and went for trainings everyday, while I continued my chess journey in university life).

So then I decided enough is enough! Time to change. Got hold of my friend and ask him to introduce me an auntie. Auntie?!!.... Auntie who sell badminton rackets lar... With his indepth knowledge about badminton, he named a few specs which it sounds like "the integral of x and y is not equal to z but is the opposite to the beta plus square root of gamma". Yes it's sounds like rocket science to me.

Well, actually he choosed a few not-so-light but light weighted racket which is balance in weight throughout both head and handle. About 40-60g in total weigh. Made of mix carbon fiber-titanium. The string weight was 26G if I'm not mistaken. It means when I hit, it still got some reflex and I won't hit like hitting the shutter with a wooden board.

The auntie showed us a few brands that's within the spec. There's Yonex old timer, Fleet, Dunlop and Wilson. I tried everyone of them. Picking them up and did some stroke swinging around. Before long, my hand had started to get tired. After many strokes, I can't even differentiate which is lighter and which is heavier as my hand became numb. ^.^;;

Then my friend also told the auntie that I'm getting a pair of shoes. Upon hearing so, the auntie quickly introduce more Fleet rackets to me. She offered that I get Fleet's rackets because it comes with a pair of shoes and a free bag. Wow! That's a great offer I thought. ^.^ My friend also mentioned that people are using Fleet rackets more now. So I should follow the crowd lar? Hehee.. But anyway, since I'm the one who ask him to help out to recommend me the rackets, I thought, why not?!

After a few more tries, I finally found a white one that suits me. (In term of colour. The other specs are the same. Just colour is too ugly for me to look at.) I choosed a silver colour shoes, not towards my taste though but no choice, the others are uglier. And took a grey white bag instead of an orange one which the auntie offered me. Seriously, is it me or sports colour had gone nuts. I still remember Football Jerseys were so nicely design but these colours....? *Speechless* Okay that's maybe football. But badminton should be equally attractive as well, no? ^.^

A New Racket!

Yeay! Finally got my new badminton racket! Anybody wanna play with me? I'm still an amateur so don't bully me. :P

It's Fleet.

Fleet Top Speed? Faster than aeroplane?

Chosen Blue String for the net.

Life as an Auditor

A scene at work during the weekends.

Been working as in Deloitte for 4 months now, going in to the fifth. It's getting harder and harder to keep this blog posted and updated since the peak periods. Most of the post are being scheduled earlier for posting. Some of the post are even not that original anymore. Nevertheless, it's still enjoying to blog. ^.^

Everyone is so busy working...

Many who had not seen me for quite a long time might want to ask how have I been doing. How's my work? I would say, Work's like Marriage. Why so? Well, When you first start work, it's just like honey moon. You are so excited, there's alot of things to try and it's a new environment. I went in during a non-peak period whereby there wasn't much work and we were sent for trainings. It was like back to school again.

But life's after that wasn't that rosy anymore. Work getting piled up, deadlines getting shorter and shorter and sleeps getting lesser and lesser. It's just like you have your newborn. You have to take care of your baby everytime. Then you won't get enough sleep because you have to stay up at night to feed her...

Your main activity for your life is:
1. wake up
2. eat & shit
3. work
4. eat & shit again
5. back to work
6. eat & shit some more
7. continue your work
8. sleep
9. repeat step 1 to 8 again everyday
and occassionally, probably you get to do
10. talk craps. But the rest, the life cycle still goes on...

But things are not all that bad. Sometimes at the end of the day, you get to look back at your accomplishment. For which, I've yet to reach that state yet though. Nevertheless, there's always ups and downs in our life. I just wish that when I reach my retirement age, I would have at least a secured pension.. But with this current economy and current market crisis, I think I would end up penniless. So much for life... Lolx. ^.^

A thank you note from our senior.
