Fiery Shana

It's been a while since I last post an Otaku stuff. ^.^ Actually, I'm kind of broke and there weren't anything released that I want recently. Adding the fact that I'm either busy working or studying for my upcoming ACCA exam, time is so limited!

Nevertheless, no matter how busy I am, I still will spend my time with my love ones... My Figmas! :P Here's a review on my Shana.

It came in at the same time with Tohsaka Rin. There weren't much accessories packed inside so the box was kind of small.

Here's the back view of the box. I got this after getting inspired when I got Fate. Yes it's because of the sword. Currently there were only sword wielder in my collection. Fate-chan would be so lonely with nobody to play sword fighting with her. ^.^"

Shana's pack came with a katana, a face change and a melon pan. ^.^ Melon pan is her favourite bread. I'm not very sure were they sold in Malaysia, but it's very popular in Japan. Do pin point where I can get if you saw one.

Yosh! Take a portrait shot! Say melon cheese! ^.^

This sword is long! Over her head by how many times! I think this is more like a muramasa rather than a katana.

The sculpture had actually released two version of this figma. One which is this 1 with a red hair. Another is with black hair and different facial expression. The black hair one is selling at 20% ~ 30% more expensive this red hair and it's limited edition.

Yosh! Another shot here wielding the katana. Since I ain't willing to spend the money and the different isn't much, althought the black hair 1 seems cooler. I opt for the red one to save some money for my next purchase. ^.^

Sword wielding girls are quite popular among the Otaku circles. The animes that have swords wielding girls that I can remember are Shakugan no Shana, Sakura Wars, and Ga Rei Zero to name a few that I'm familiar with.

Shana-chan had actually followed me out a few times. I've taken pictures of her with food, playing and much more! I would say this is the easier figma to bring out then the others because of its shorter skirt which would make kneeling down much easier compare to balancing the figmas in standing position. Pictures would be upload later so stay tune. ^.^

"Yoroshiku-neh!" ^.^

When you meet angry Rin

It's been awhile since I update my blog. In fact it's two weeks. Times flies really fast. Been around and busy around. Though I took quite a number of photos. My weekends just couldn't stop there. There's so much going on. Anyway, as an Otaku, surely I have to post up some of my figma collections. ^.^

My figmas are really angry with me now. Look at Rin.

She's looks like going to kill me if I don't post this up. ^.^;;

Well, actually I got her a few weeks ago. Just that I've been busy around helping out others and doing some outdoor model shootings. Here and here. Well it was a fun experience. ^.^ Will post up some edited photos later on.

Back to Rin, she's from the popular game/anime Fate Stay Night. I din't actually knew about this story. If I'm not mistaken there were no mangga on this story. The characters and stories are derived from its game. It seems like there were alot of different ending for the storyline with each character end up being the last person standing in their fight. But the story revolves by the same six characters or so...

Rin getting laid. I never played the game before so I couldn't elaborate much of it. But I have a friend who's a real fan of it. He had actually done a research and can write a book on it. While the better well know character is Saber, the kings of all kings (according to the storyline).

In the anime, Saber was the leading main character. A reborned King Arthur with a cool Excalibur. Maybe I should get her figma? ^.^ Hope this month's budget allows.

Okay back to Rin. Her guardian was a sword smith according to the anime storyline that I watched. These are her two different swords which was made by him. But I don't understand why is he called Archer when he use knife... >.<" Shouldn't he be using bow instead?
The classical setup where a figma is boxed with. 8 sets of different hands, a person and the figma stand. The special items that come with it is the two swords.

I usually see that people usually kneel their figmas if they don't want to use the figma stand to support. But then again, I think that's the nature of Japanese culture. They usually bow or kneel down indoors. :)

But if your figma is not so complicated. You can make it stand too. You just need to be patient to stand them. Sometimes try to set the head directions. Other time you can set the hands and feet to the right position.

I did mentioned she's angry at me right? Look she's pointing her knife at me now. >.<" *scare*
"You better not mess with me or I will slice you like a cake. You know the sharpness of this knife don't you... " *gulp* -.-"

"Alright. Back to your blog! Don't slack this time. Or I will just skin you alive!"

This is Rin Tosaka. The great magician.

Spring Figure - Yotsuba

It's Spring now! It's time to for Hanami! Time to sit by a river, gazing at the skies, mesmerizing at the flowers, drinking. But in Malaysia, there's nothing more but the usual dry and humid season.

However, we know that this kind of season is good for... insect-napping!

And here we go for bugs catching!

Yotsuba arrived around March. Right about the time for catching bugs, go fishing and picnic. Maybe go for easter egg hunting too! ^.^

It's actually quite an old figma. Released by Revoltech. The joints are actually different from thos released by Max Fatories. But nevertheless, it's a cool figma.

Everytime I watch her, it's always feel like sunny day. Whenever I see her face, all my dark clouds all gone. ^.^

It came with 4 different faces, a bag, a hat, a smaller sling bag, and a few pairs of hands. Though you can't change her clothes. ^.^;;

In order to attach the bags on her shoulder, first I would have to detach the lower part of the body to make it shorter. Otherwise, the bag's handle couldn't cross over the body.

The figma stands that come with it is also kind of different from the usuals. It does not use plug in hole to hold the figma. Instead, you just put it on rest reclining to the small stand.

Yotsuba! Let's go camping! Yeah!

To change the face, first have to take down the hair part. Then you pull out the face and substitute with the other one. Quite similar to my other usual figmas. Just that, her face are much bigger~ and flatter.

Yosh~! Hat? Checked. Bag? Checked. Ice Cream? Checked. Okay ikemashou! Yo!

Yotsuba is a much simple figma. But it reflects our daily simple lifes. ^.^ We half cities boys don't usually get to enjoy village lifestyles. And we certainly don't usually get to play catch the criket or swim by the river. Most of the cities kids lifestyle now are computer games or game console.

Alright time to say bye bye Yotsuba. Let's go for vacation. ^.^

Below Video Clips from Clannad After Story whereby Ushio asked Tomoya to go for a trip. ^.^

The Last Musketeer - Hayate

The day had finally arrived. After months of patients; after months of hardship. Finally, the last musketeer step into my doorsteps. She's smart. She's pretty. She's kind and powerful. She's non other then Hayate!

She arrived together with Feito the other day. Since I missed the previous figure release which cost RM386, roughly the price of my head and I've already got Nanoha-chan, I decided I must get this. If not, I won't have a complete set. Besides, Hayate is my favourite of the three, so it is damn right to get it, no? ^.^

The set comes with a cross wand, a pair of wings, 2 books whereby one open and another close, Hayate's hat, a fierce face, a hair set and a set of hands. Not really much compare to Fate's but I prefer it since, you don't have to carry so many things around.

Hayate is an ancient magic user. Unlike Fate who's more toward offensive and Nanoha who's an all rounder, Hayate is a spellcaster. She owns a book that can replicate all the best magic in the world, aka the Book of Darkness. But its actual name is Reinforce Zwei! A cute little blue faery who's also as powerful as Hayate herself. ^.^

According to the story, Hayate actually has a few guardian with her. And each guardian has their own specialty, Signum who's the master of knighthood, Vita the hot-blooded Viking, Shamal the kind priestess and Zafira the loyal blood critter. If you look at it, it's actually a complete team with both offense and defense as well as support.

Yes I know I watch too much animes and getting childisher everytime. So I will not write a review about the Nanoha Trilogy here. Instead, I would just take more photoshots and let you get impressed with my new camera? ^.^

While playing with her, I noticed that the hand doesn't really hold the book properly as illustrated in the box. They did not make any hand grip or something that fit the hand nicely with the book. Instead the book is just balance on an open arm. So what I did was, I change the hand to a curving one and use the closed book. As you can see in the photo, I try to use the arm to clinche the book uner her armpit. ^.^;; Lucky she don't sweat.

Another reason I liked about Hayate is her vabriante uniform. As you can see, the uniform is in the combination colour of dark blue (my favourite colour) and white (also my 2nd favourite colour) with golden yellow outlines (my third favourite colour) giving a striking look. She even wore a cute fluffy hat. I don't really take note of her wings though. But since it comes with it, I just put on it to make it grander. ^.^

And here you go, the three infamous musketeers. ^.^ From left, Nanoha, Hayate and Fate. I don't actually can considered that I've collected all, since there are more characters yet to be out in the market. Rather, I would say that I've actually collected the three SSS class mages. ^.^ Unfortunately it doesn't work like Dragonball whereby upon complete of collections, I can summon a dragon who will grant me a wish. In this case, even all three of them are mages, they couldn't grant me any wish!! >.<"
Eh chotto~! Since when did Kyuoka came out?! She's not in the team is she?! >.<"

Fated Fate's Faith

This is the story of Fate. A girl who was fated to be born a clone. Without anybody's care, without anybody bother. She was destined to follow her ordered, and serve her master. But she held her faith strong and with some of her loving friends she finally overcome her fate. Now, she's ....

Fate! Fate Tesstarossa Harlown

Have been waiting her for a very long long time. You can read from the part where I got Nanoha-chan. And yes I get from the same supplier, FigureMall. No thanks to LikeV84 for charging so high. ^.^ *grin*

Immediatelym unbox it and laid down all the kits and accessories. It came with 2 Bardiche, one in scythe form and another in Zanbato. The rest are the hands and stand.

Fate ready up. In full blue uniform. Cool eh~! In the anime, Nanoha StrikerS she was a police in the magic world. So her blue uniform is actually her working gears. Since she's more of an agi-type figher, she doesn't has those flurry ribbons on her unlike Nanoha. Her cloak or also known as her barrier jacket, is her only armour.

Standing up figma isn't easy. You have to correctly position the hands and the legs. I took me 15 minutes just to set it up without using her stand. I tweak her hair and hands as well as lining up her legs. The hair are mostly stiff so I can't actually change much except for its position so that the exact weight fall at the right point to balance up the axis.

Fate, gear up! The barrier jacket that comes with it does not weigh down either. It's horizontal when you fixed on it giving you the effect that Fate is always flying, or the wind blowing.

Fate with Zanbato. Swords looks cool on girls. Wonder if there's any figma girl with a katana. So far I only have this figma with a swords. I'm not into Saber which is overpopular. But probably I will get Tohsaka Rin or Shanan. Or maybe I should just get both?! ^.^ Boy am I greedy. Have to earn those. Ain't easy.

Fate with 2 Bardiche. Though actually in the anime she usually use her scythe form, the Zanbato looks better on her. But, I still prefer her sonic form which it wasn't included in this package. >.<" I wish that they had came out with it. Check out her latest release here. It really cost a limb to own one. But when you look at her sexy pose... *drools* You will just get poisoned. >.<"

The sword is heavy, so she had to carry on her shoulder. This is the yakuza style. You got problem? Don't worry, Fate will help you. Just give me all your monies... ^.^ *grin*

Taking off the backdrops, a closeup shot make Fate so rich in colour~! Yes I think you saw something familiar in the backdrop. Will disclose it later.

Anoother close up view of Fate. This time the other direction. Everytime I see this picture, I just feel so satisfied. Lucky I got my new camera. ^.^ The colour is so rich. I really should take more of it. Maybe with different pose.

I wonder if they are making any figma accessories out there. Since there have been more and more figmas coming out. I think they should start supplying more accessories like swords, katana, guns or any other props for figmas. ^.^ So that players like me won't be limited in their choice. I've also seen alot of Figma Theaters going around in the Otakus blogsphere. I'm sure extra accessories would do them better. ^.^

Last picture, a sneak peak at another character which I got together with Fate. Wil be reviewing it later though. Figures are getting more and more expensive. I've dropped the idea of getting figures because it would take me longer to save up for it. Instead, Figmas are now my new playtoys. Still, they aren't cheap. With the Japanese Yen getting stronger against the Dollar and Riggit Malaysia, I have to start eating grass to get these anytime soon. >.<"...
