Accounting Night Photos!

Wasn't suppose to go for the Accounting Night Organized by our class captain, Pierre. But after some long long considerations, persuasions, instigations, mitigation, negotiation and evaluations... Finally, I'm there.

I'm not the official photographer. My digicam wasn't the best. Only a Nikon S51 unlike Koon Yew's (0fficial photographer) Canon's pro-cam. All photos are taken using indoor/party scene with fill in flash. Some photos turn out to be orange-ish while other turn out okay.

Slide shows generated from Picasa Web Album. The photos can be downloaded from here. I'm sorry for those that I cannot send you the photos because I don't know your email address. Please send me an email for photos requests at shinky7@gmail.com. Thanks. Enjoy the slide show! ^.^

After seeing all these photos I realize landscape photos are better taken than portraits. The background isn't important anymore. Also putting your legs in the photos makes you small. >.<" Download the photos from my Picasa Web Album here again!

Hot Days...

32°Celsius but it feels like 40°. =.=;; I'm sweating like pig and my head is swirling. I can't even think of anything. On top of that, the behind neighbour workers are still drilling their stupid wall! It make my headache even worst. Even the internet connection is slow! Nowadays I just don't understand why the weather are getting hotter each days! Maybe I should just migrate to somewhere cooler. Say, Japan?! ^.^ One of my favourite dream place.

In the mean time, play some fish here.

Unread blogs

Just break out from the normal routine. All my test had just finished. I've post up 2 post on my Pulau Perhentian Trip, part 1 and part 2. Next up will be part 3 so stay tuned. Haven't really been very active lately in the cyber space. Mainly due to laziness. Dreaming all this while. Felt kind of lost.

And beside, the behind neighbor (diagonally right of my house) is renovating his house. As a result, noise pollution is tremendously high and had been affecting me and my brain. All the Ping Ping Pong Pong Piang is driving me crazy. No doubt getting angry over it will make me lose my brain faster. It's not the workers fault because it's their job to break down things with the drills and sledge hammers. How I wish that I could hold on of them and break the whole house up into pieces. Seriously, this house had been renovated for so many times that it is driving the whole neighborhood nuts! I wonder why the owner even bother to renovate it since they seldom stay in the house! The house had been renovated for more than 5 times and during this years of staying in my house (nearly 24 years) I have yet to even see the owner before nor do I know the family's surname.

Am reading all those blog post now. I've lost touch of it alot and there's more than 1000 unread post. See screenshot. Subscribed to financials, news politics as well as many friend's blog. Do you know lately politicians started blogging now? The latest politician blogger was our Malacca's Chief Minister Mohd. Ali Bin Rustam. His blog which was very simple could actually get 146 comments just within 2 days (whereas mine couldn't even get more than 3 comments in 3 months>.<"). The National Front had lost must of their power in the 8th March Elections and they are now aware of the Power of Blogs! So if blogs can help you win in political positions, how about using it in your business?

Enough said, back to reading.

Holiday in Pulau Perhentian Part II

Continuing from the previous post Holiday in Pulau Perhentian Part I, we were on our boat ride to Pulau Perhentian. The ride was rough. Since our boat is a small tour boat about 20 ft long and 5 ft wide (estimated), it was riding high and low on the sea waves toward our destination. Imagine we are actually riding a roller coaster across the South China Sea. Our boat was riding up on the high waves when suddenly there was a trench and our boat crash down bumping our butt on the wooden seat. Pain! But everybody enjoy the ride. ^.^

Leaving Kuala Besut

Rough waves splashed when our cut accross the South China Sea

Side view of the boat ride.

Enjoying the ride~

Reach our destination finally

As you can see the water is so crystal clear that you can see the mud bed below. Unlike our Malacca River so "Nescafe".

Upon reaching the shore, we were quite exhausted but happy. Our adventure is going to start and we are very excited of it. Lucky the tide were high and our boat was able to land near to the beach or else we would need to walk through the mud for a long distant.

The first thing we were greeted when we step food on the island -- Food! We were really like hungry wolves not eaten for 3 months. We were served tom yam soup, mixed vegetables, sweet and sour chicken, sambal squid and fried egg.

In no time, the plate were empty. We even ordered another plate of egg because it just wasn't enough for all of us. But anyway, the food was nice and we really enjoy it.

Eating till the last bit.

After food, it was just rest and relax. The sun was hot and we just stay under the shades. Taken some photos of the beach. Back home here, you can only find rough sands and brown sea. But here, it's a blue sea and white fine sand. There's one word to describe it -- Tengoku 天国!

A view of our resort.

More beach view.

Another view of our resort.

The front information counter where you can rent snorkeling equipment or rent a boat taxi to travel around. There are actually many this kind of services around the islands so you don't have to worry of not having any transport but the price isn't cheap.

Apparantly I couldn't continue uploading all the photos so I would just stop here. There are more photos of the beach which I will share later.

Holiday in Pulau Perhentian Part I

During our midterm break, we went for a holiday break in Pulau Perhentian. Since it was the last semester of study. After that I would be joining the workforce and contribute to the community which would last for like thirty or forty years... I wouldn't be getting any holidays if I'm working. Imagining I would become a workaholic freak.

There are about 400+ over photos which I will upload batch by batch. This post would be the introductory post.

We started our journey very early in the morning. About 2.30am on Sunday (18th March 2008). The team member, Shelly, Zhu, Seok, Joan, Ivan (Joan's bf), Jing Yi, Steven and yours sincere.

Apparently we reach LCCT around 4.30am and it's already been crowded by sleeping beauties and sleeping beast all over the floor. didn't take photos of them cause it's kind of rude. Our flight was 7.30am and we were supposed to check in one hour earlier, still it was too early and there's nothing much to do around. We just hang around in the toilet, the food court nearby and Mc Donalds.

Shelly & Zhu having Mac Breakfast.

Wanted to try their chicken wrap but was not available. End up having the Mac Muffin set with coffee. Personally I don't quite like the Mac Breakfast. Prefer the normal ones, Mac Chicken Deluxe, Fillet-O-Fish anyway I tried the Chicken wrap later and found it nice too! ^.^ One thing I noticed, whenever you go anywhere and you find that the local food are not so appetizing or it's just not worth the money, the first choice would be McD if there's one. They had build a very strong brand.

Off to the plane. First in line...Not! This is just a setup photo. Wanted to take this for remembrance since it's my first time taking the plane unlike some of you who had been flying all over the world. ^.^
Another shot for remembrance. LCCT - Kota Bahru by Air Asia at total RM128.98 per person.

Flying up high and overlooking Klang Valley.

Viewing Kuala Lumpur City from above.

In cloud 9 flying in the sky.

We reached Kota Bahru around 9.15am. Everybody was kind of tired due to the long hour journey. From early morning 2.30am, 2 hours of van ride to LCCT, 1 hour flight and then another hour from Kota Bahru to Kuala Besut where our boat is waiting for us.

A shot of the main roads of Kota Bahru. You can see Kampung houses everywhere along the main road. The main road is just like our Melaka housing area's road. There are only 2 lane and houses besides are just 3 feet away before reaching their doorsteps. Mind you, the driver is driving at 120kph at this kind of road!

Eating and posing during the ride.

"This jelly is nice!" said Joan.

"Yeah! It's delicious!" -Ivan

Spy shot on the foreign girl sitting beside. Our car actually had some problem starting so we actually car pooled with the other group of people who are going somewhere I don't know. Redang maybe. ^.^

Finally we reach our third pit stop, Restoran Makanan Laut Lucky. This is where our tour guide meet us and pick us up. Those who have not done their business, this is the last place or else you just have to do it in the sea.

Lucky Restaurant's Signboard.

Mr Ong, one of the owner of the tour agency to Pulau Perhentian.

Kuala Besut Jetty

Final preparation to board our boat. Sunglasses, cap, sunblock all ready.

Our tour guide and boatman helping us on board.

Pulau Perhentian here we come!!!

Next up, the boat ride, paradise, islands, beach and bikini girls?
