A Talk Back in Times

Wanna share some random photos taken not long after I got my LX3.

Pictures taken in a rubber estate during my time at my auntie's house somewhere northern part of Melaka. My grandfather came from that part. He was a poor guy. Our family was big. In order to feed so many mouth, my uncles and aunties have to neglect their studies for work.

But that was the time when rubber tapping still can feed the whole family. My aunties would usually woke up early in the morning to cook and work in the rubber estates. My uncles on the other hand, would cycle to them bringing them freshly prepared hot food by my 3rd aunty who cared for the family. Yup. My grandmother wasn't there already at that time. My grandfather have to feed the whole family single handedly.

But well, not exactly single handedly. He still has his brothers and cousins. Relationship were very close between the families. And everybody stays together at that time. Now, all the family had separated and live with their own family and some even have their own grandson and grand daughter.

Nevertheless, we still keep in touch. We still visit each others during those festival and celebration period. We still often have our reunion dinner.

So what do you think about the photos?

Who's Birthday is Today?

1st of April. 1 baby that's born on this date was called "Watanuki" 四月一日. He was born not normal. He was born because someone had distort the time flow in the past. He is a replica of that someone, but not a clone of his. He share the same birthday. And his birthday was 1st of April.

Just finished reading Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles by CLAMP to the latest comic. The story is really too exciting! I really hope that they can finish making the anime. The last 2 season and an 3 episode OVA had just only reach 60% of its original story.

No mood to play April Fool Prank today. Busy with work. >.<" Watch the video for entertainment.

Ikea Chair.

Went over KL the other weekend to meet up some friends. Had always wanted to go Ikea to get a chair. But whenever I went there, its either I don't have the money to buy or it's not convenient to carry back.

However this time, I drove up and have the freedom to move around. Furthermore, I was lucky to have a friend to guide me there and back! If not, I would need to stay there overnight. >.<"
Out from the box

It has its name, and it's called Moses~ This is the back rest.

The package also came with a seat part...

... 4 wheels...

... an arrow-ed card board showing the directions?

...2 arm rest handle..

... a star-liked leg stand...

... a seat support...

... a plastic pillar and a pack of screws.

There wasn't a manual on how to fix the chair except this...

But things are easy. Just screw in the wheels below the 5 edges of the star stand and slot in the pillar in the middle.

Another part is to screw the support onto the seat. I find it easier to do it first before screwing the handles on its side.

The screws comes in the exact numbers. There's no extra so have to be wary not to lose any of them. ^.^;;

A closer look at the how it's being screwed in. Everything just fits right.

An alen key is being provided. And it's a good one. Not like those cheap plastic made type.

Just finished assembling the top part. The handle must be screw in first before fixing the back rest. Since I'm fixing it alone. Spent quite some time trying to fix it up with the weigh. -.-"

Finally, the chair is fixed. Now it would be more comfortable to watch animes in my com.

I also get some hangers for my trousers. These are suggested by my friend. Mum had been nagging about my overloaded wardrobes. I don't actually owns alot of clothes. But it just happend that wardrobe is too small the... ^.^"

And another mini ironing board. Mum's been complaining that the one at home is too light and not suitable. But in the end, it's left aside unopened as well.

This iron board is not only small and cute. But also came with a handle that you can hang it anywhere. Convenient isn't it?

The total amount of all these cost me a limb. >.<" Ikea really have the idea and design. But their price is also in Euro(x5)! Well, I guess you have to pay for the difference if you want something better... ^.^;;

I got my gun!

After selling my Nikon Coolpix S51 (8.1MP, Vibration Reduction), I've been looking for a decent camera for my own use. I'm looking for a compact with manual functions. After searching high and low and consult some pro, finally I arrive at this Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3 Digital Camera (Black) (10.1MP, 3" LCD, Mega O.I.S., 24mm Wide Angle, ISO 3200).

Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3 Digital Camera (Black) (10.1MP, 3
Bought this for RM1,550. Ordered another extra battery for Rm130. Total money spent on camera = RM1,680.00. And now I'm broke... -.-"

My friend had one and he recommends it. Tried playing with some shots, mostly indoors. However, after getting this, I'm engaged to another job. Everyday have to work from morning to midnite. =.="

Can't wait to touch my baby...

The next big thing this summer! Yeah, it's autobots! Transform!

Book your tickets now!

I'm actually wondering when they are making Gundams. Dragon Ball The Movie is coming up this April. And I heard Eva Movie was out too last year. When are they making Gundams? ^.^

Hey Bandai! You've made Power Rangers in the past. I'm sure you can make Gundams right? ^.^ The latest Gundam 00 is more interesting than the Gundam SEED and Gundam SEED: Destiny. The stories are refreshing and exciting. Will talk about it later when it had finish.

P.S. Jason, your BumbleBee is up next!

Elixir of Longevity

Once upon a time, there was one ruler who had successfully conquered China and enthroned himself Emperor of China. However, he knew that he couldn't live long. And so he sent one of his best warrior to the furthest east to find the Elixir for Longevity (长生不老药).

Unfortunately, his warrior never came back with the Elixir. Instead, the people that went on the mission, landed on a few remote island and stayed there for the rest of their live, which we know it today as the land of the rising sun--Japan.

But with today's technology, we don't need to search high and low to find this Elixir. Today, we can buy them from online stores, shops and maybe even in our Pasar Malam (Night Market). Today, we can feel young again! If only Emperor Qin get to live to see this:

Always got impressed with such commercial videos. Lolx. Enjoy~

Life as an Auditor

A scene at work during the weekends.

Been working as in Deloitte for 4 months now, going in to the fifth. It's getting harder and harder to keep this blog posted and updated since the peak periods. Most of the post are being scheduled earlier for posting. Some of the post are even not that original anymore. Nevertheless, it's still enjoying to blog. ^.^

Everyone is so busy working...

Many who had not seen me for quite a long time might want to ask how have I been doing. How's my work? I would say, Work's like Marriage. Why so? Well, When you first start work, it's just like honey moon. You are so excited, there's alot of things to try and it's a new environment. I went in during a non-peak period whereby there wasn't much work and we were sent for trainings. It was like back to school again.

But life's after that wasn't that rosy anymore. Work getting piled up, deadlines getting shorter and shorter and sleeps getting lesser and lesser. It's just like you have your newborn. You have to take care of your baby everytime. Then you won't get enough sleep because you have to stay up at night to feed her...

Your main activity for your life is:
1. wake up
2. eat & shit
3. work
4. eat & shit again
5. back to work
6. eat & shit some more
7. continue your work
8. sleep
9. repeat step 1 to 8 again everyday
and occassionally, probably you get to do
10. talk craps. But the rest, the life cycle still goes on...

But things are not all that bad. Sometimes at the end of the day, you get to look back at your accomplishment. For which, I've yet to reach that state yet though. Nevertheless, there's always ups and downs in our life. I just wish that when I reach my retirement age, I would have at least a secured pension.. But with this current economy and current market crisis, I think I would end up penniless. So much for life... Lolx. ^.^

A thank you note from our senior.

My Manager Had Resigned!

6 days after his resignation, I'm blogging about my manager. Yes, my manager had left after more then a decade working in Deloitte, he decided he has enough of here and left.

Truthfully, I know very little about my boss. The first time I met him was during the time I'm applying for a job in here, Deloitte Melaka. He's the one who had interviewed me and recruited me. It wasn't a smooth interview though but in the end all ends well.

After the interview, I seldom see him again. Yes I do see him, but it's just that we seldom spoke to each other anymore. ^.^;; He was always busying in his room, and I on the other hand, got alot of things to learn and do as well. Only occassionally, we bump into each others in the men's room. Not much of words though.

1 month before his resignation, I receive three queries from my friends and relative asking where is he going? I just shrug. Seriosly till now, I only know that he's just going to a medium firm as a audit manager there. The rest I'm not sure.

But just imagine, although I've known this news for quite some time, it's amazing that people are coming to me and question about my boss resignation when I haven't even tell them anything. This proves that my boss's network is really wide.

Apart from that, he's a great father. He has a daughter so playful and cute that he always played with her whenever they are together. It's a pity that I don't have a good camera to capture those lovely moments. If not I might win some prizes if I submit it to some photography competitions. ^.^

After spending 4 months in the company, I resembled one of my ex-boss during my training times. Usually isolated in their room, busying with their own stuffs. But will generously offer their help when asked. Looks so high up in status, but is always friendly.

Lastly, I wish that all the best in his future undertakings and enjoy his work in his next job. Good Luck Jerry.

Photos are taken during the farewell dinners for our boss. Had ikan bakar in Muara Sg Duyong. Food there was like the usual malay cookings. But super expensive. They don't give discounts. A lot of big shots people for their dinners, celebrations, etc.

As you can see the photos above all have smiling face on it. However it din't last long when the bill came to RM700++ for a meal of 22. It would come to about the same if we were having our meal in a restaurant. Learnt the lesson. ^.^;;

Lesson in Life

In 1923, who was:
1. President of the largest steel company?
2. President of the largest gas company?
3. President of the New York Stock Exchange?
4. Greatest wheat speculator?
5. President of the Bank of International Settlement?
6. Great Bear of Wall Street?
These men were considered some of the worlds most successful of their day. Now, 80 years later, the history book asks us, if we know what ultimately became of them.

The answers:
1. The president of the largest steel company, Charles Schwab, died a pauper.
2. The president of the largest gas company, Edward Hopson, went insane.
3. The president of the NYSE, Richard Whitney, was released from prison to die at home.
4. The greatest wheat speculator, Arthur Cooger, died abroad, penniless.
5. The president of the Bank of International Settlement, shot himself.
6. The Great Bear of Wall Street, Cosabee Livermore, also committed suicide.

However, in that same year, 1923, the PGA Champion and the winner of the most important golf tournament, the US Open, was Gene Sarazen.

What became of him? He played golf until he was 92, died in 1999 at the age of 95. He was financially secure at the time of his death.

The moral:
Screw work. Play golf.

One Year Old, Roadblogg!

It's the last day of February. The day when my mind hit a blockade that I have nothing else better to do. The day when this blog hit its first post!

I'm still not satisfied with the templates. It loads too slow. Will try to improve it better when I got the time. Besides that, since I had sold off my camera, post would be focus less on photos but more on animes. ^.^ But I still have some inventories left unpost will keep update soon.

Will also sign up for Pay Per Post later when I got my credit card. Was hoping that I could earn some money from my posts. Had some directions with the blog, just not doing enough to generate money. ^.^;;

It's been one year now, since I first started this blog. Would really hope that I could keep posting and popularize it!

Happy Birthday Roadblogg!

P.S. This post is post number 88. Which means this can bring me good luck?! ^.^

Spread The L.O.V.E.

Yes I know Valentine's Day have long passed gone. And yes, I'm still waiting for my chocolate. >.<" By who? Whoever Cares... ^.^;; Hijacked these famous quotes from Businesspundit when I was browsing some old articles which I had not read in my Feed Reader. It seems like everybody have their own say about love.

  1. “You come to love not by finding the perfect person, but by seeing an imperfect person perfectly.” -Sam Keen
  2. “Love is a snowmobile racing across the tundra and then suddenly it flips over, pinning you underneath. At night, the ice weasels come.” -Matt Groening
  3. “Nobody will ever win the battle of the sexes. There’s too much fraternizing with the enemy.” -Henry Kissinger
  4. “Love is an electric blanket with somebody else in control of the switch.” -Cathy Carlyle
  5. “You can’t buy love, but you can pay heavily for it.” -Henny Youngman
  6. “One should always be in love. That is the reason one should never marry.” -Oscar Wilde
  7. “Behind every successful man is a woman, behind her is his wife.” -Groucho Marx
  8. “Today is Valentine’s Day. Or, as men like to call it, Extortion day.” -Jay Leno
  9. “Valentine’s Day is when a lot of married men are reminded what a poor shot Cupid really is."-Unknown
  10. “What the world really needs is more love and less paper work.” -Pearl Bailey
  11. “We don’t believe in rheumatism and true love until after the first attack.” -Marie Ebner Von Eschenbach, Aphorism
  12. “Gravitation is not responsible for people falling in love.” -Albert Einstein
  13. “Love may not make the world go round, but I must admit that it makes the ride worthwhile.” -Sean Connery
  14. “Love is much nicer to be in than an automobile accident, a tight girdle, a higher tax bracket, or a holding pattern over Philadelphia.” -Judith Viorst
  15. “It’s not the men in my life that count — it’s the life in my men.” -Mae West
  16. “An archeologist is the best husband any woman can have; the older she gets, the more interested he is in her.” -Agatha Christie
  17. “Love is like an hourglass, with the heart filling up as the brain empties.”-Jules Renard
  18. “Falling in love is so hard on the knees.” -Aerosmith
  19. “Love wouldn’t be blind if the Braille weren’t so damned much fun.” -Anonymous
  20. “Marriage is the triumph of imagination over intelligence. Second marriage is the triumph of hope over experience.” -Samuel Johnson
  21. “If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular?” -Anonymous
  22. The great question, which I have not been able to answer is, “What does a woman want?” -Sigmund Freud
  23. “I was nauseous and tingly all over. I was either in love or I had smallpox!” -Woody Allen
  24. “Love is grand; divorce is a hundred grand.” -Anonymous
  25. “True love comes quietly, without banners or flashing lights. If you hear bells, get your ears checked.” -Erich Segal
The one I like the most is No. 5 and No. 6. V-Day had really became an expensive day. Most retailers nowadays are taking advantage to charge their goods at an UNREASONABLE price. It shows that people only buy presents for their girlfriends during Valentine's Day? ^.^;;

For me, I prefer to present simply anytime by surprising her but not on V-Day. Why? Coz it's just too boring, there's no excitement because everybody is doing the same thing. It's just so monotonous... Don't you think so? ^.^ Give some surprise, and they will remember it very very well.. Kekeke...

But then again, it's not easy to find special presents during normal days. Those unique and rare presents ain't that easy to find during normal days. Usually you can only find it either you went somewhere out of your normal shopping malls or custom made it.

So where do you usually get your presents?

Full Metal Alchemist 2 The Next Season

Yeah! FMA2 is coming up in April!

Al had lost his memories but start to study alchemist again. Ed had lost his power but is still finding his way back to their world. Will the brothers meet up again? Ooh~ Can't wait for the next season of Full Metal Alchemist!!

The famous principle of equivalent trade.

We can't make things from nothing.
We must offer something which is of the same equivalent in exchange for another.

If we apply this principle in our daily life, it would means that, if we want something, we have to scarifies something for it. If you want money, you have to earn it. If you want to go a certain place, you have to walk the journey. Things don't just fall from the sky. There's no such thing as a free lunch.

Talking about free... I haven't check out my lottery number yet. Ish when can I strike the million dollar jackpot?! >.<"

I sold off my camera.

Yup. After serving me for 11 months and 28 days, I've sold off my camera. Sold it to my sis.

Apparently, she also wanted to buy the same model when I bought mine last year 1st of March. Well I got it first, and she doesn't seems to be getting any. All she do was just talk.

I bought this camera for RM800. When I passby Jusco last week, I saw the same model selling for the same retail price. Wow, the price haven't drop yet? My residual price was RM500 when I pass on to my sister. Losing a RM500 inclusive of the backup battery and other stuffs. Well, Brother ma.. what to do.. ^.^;;

Okay, since I don't own any camera now, it would be alittle bit difficult for me to capture pictures until I get a new one. Was considering another compact, but this time a faster one with less camera laggs. Tried to use my friends LX3, way cool! I've also seen DannyChoo using his LX3, but that cam cost a BOMB! If I can get that cam, I can afford D60.

However, I don't want to get a DSLR just yet because my dad's planning to get a D90 in a few months time. Besides, I need something that's light and versatile to carry around. I can't bring another load full of EQs when I'm already carrying a army backpack with all my working gears... ^.^

So, if you have any good suggestion for a compact cam range around RM1,000 or so, feel free to let me know. Thanks! ^.^ Till then, I will just try to fill this blog with pictures from my T700. ^_^

MLM - More Love Making?

How many of you had hear / joint MLM before? Surely many had dip their feet inside. I, personally had soaked myself in but pulled myself out. Having some experience in this, I've concluded this:

  1. If I'm good with my interpersonal skills, I would join.

  2. If I'm confidence of getting many downlines aka zombies/followers, I would join.

  3. If' I'm freaking rich, I would join.

Anything other than that, I will just pass. Not to say I'm anti-MLM. I know the concept; I have the open mind to accept it; I just think that it's not my "rice bowl". I do join their motivation talk. Something that other people are paying for like a few hundreds or thousands of bucks just to listen Anthony Robbin's speech, my friends are paying it for me. It's refreshing when you got hype up with their fire when life's down and out. But that's also depends on who's giving the speech.

Saw this comic stripe in StockTube. Really sarcastic and funny. Wanted to share with you. Enjoy~

T700

My O'l faithful Nokia 6230 had been going cranky these few months. It never rings when it should, it shows battery depleted when it's was just fully charge an hour ago and the worst thing, it cut off my conversations off and on.

Got fed up with it and decided, it's time to change.

After browsing Sony Ericssons' website for sometime, decided I should get this:

SE T700

Couldn't get a screen protector so I just have to make do with this casing.

It's sleek, light and compact with all the functions sufficient for my use. I've always search for phones which are executive look, simple but contrast design and this phone just suits all my requirements. I don't listen much to music, I have my own camera and I don't play much games. While these phone is just sufficient to play MP3, if slotted a 4GB M2 disk in, I can split my ears with all the musics in my laptop. The 3.2Megapixel camera function is cool as I can take quick snapshots whenever I want if I forgot to bring my S51. This phone's perk is that if you are a heavy internet surfer, it really is good for you. But considering that if I want to do that, I might as well get an iPhone or a HP tablet which have bigger screen. And the price of surfing on the net ain't cheap either, so let's just forget about it.

One thing I like the phone is its preset Google Map. I think this is something my old phone can't do. I don't even have to register for a GPS system. And it loads fast too!

SE don't really give you much themes and stuffs like this. It encourage you to buy and download from their website. However if you are buying from phoneshops, probably they will insert into your 512MB Memory Disk. If any of you guys have some nice templates do send me. Thanks!

After getting this phone. I spend 1 week setting the phones. Registering all my friends numbers, saving up all the nice messages I received previoiusly and transfering my favourite songs into the phone. I tried went to Tesco and around town to search for its screen protector, but aparantly, it seems like nobody is selling it. The reason: the phone is still new. I'm not too sure is it true or not because I saw this phone in some HK dramas long before. And this phone had been like promoted in the SE's Website for quite some time. Maybe this phone is not so popular in Melaka.

The greatest thing that happend to this phone till today, is that my uncle just spammed me 4 pornographic videos via bluetooth. Lolx... Anybody who want's it can ask from me when you see me. I can bluetooth to you though I had already deleted 2. Why I keep the other 2? *Grin* Dowan to tell you. :P

Anyway, this is a good phone to use. Might wanna download some games or other features once I get an 4GB Memory Disk. Check out its official site to know more about this phone.
